What travel documents should I bring with me to the airport? Is a passport required to travel?
All participants are required to have a valid passport, and it must be presented upon check-in at the airport.
IMPORTANT PASSPORT INFORMATION: Your passport must be valid at least six months beyond the completion date of the trip.  Anyone travelling without a valid passport will be denied boarding at the airport by the airlines.  Legal names an passport information must be submitted BY AUGUST 2, 2016 in order to receive your final travel documents! Please remember that all travel documents must be under the same name as stated on your passport.
What is the luggage requirement?
You will be notified of luggage restrictions when you receive your travel documentation.  Each airline is different and rules change frequently.  We recommend that you check the airlines website prior to your trip.
 
What time should I arrive at the airport?
Due to increased security procedures, typically international travel requires you to be at the airport approximately 2.5 hours in advance.  Airline reserves the right to deny boarding and cancel seat if not checked in on international flights within 60 minutes of flight.
 
What if I am a frequent flyer with the airline?
Please bring your frequent flyer card to the airport and present it at check-in on the departure and return flights.
 
What will happen when I arrive at our final destination? Will we be transferred to the resort automatically?
Upon arrival please go thru customs, claim your luggage, and exit the terminal, where you will met by Cruise Dreams travel staff representatives that will be holding a Labelle Wedding sign.  They will be at the airport to direct all of our travelers to your private transfer to the resort.
 
What is included in your trip?
Your all-inclusive trip includes:
 
  • Round-trip transfers - airport/resort/airport
  • Private group check-in at the Riu Cancun
  • Ocean View or Junior Suite Ocean View Room Accommodations (double occupancy)
  • All on-site meals and snacks
  • All on-site beverages by the glass including local and imported liqour
  • All on-site entertainment & activities
  • Taxes
  • Private group dinner hosted by the Bride & Groom
 
All other incidentals are at each participants expense and a credit card must be presented to the resort upon check-in.
 
What if I need to change the name or any other information of a registered trip participant?
When you register, please ensure that all information is accurate and reflects the exact information on your passport and/or travel documents.  Once you have registered online, any subsequent changes may incur a cost to the participant. Please contact Cruise Dreams directly at 1.877.999.4533 if any changes to your reservation are required.

What is required upon check-in at the resort?
The resort maintains a separate account for each individuals personal expenses that may not be covered by the travel program.  You will be required to present a credit card upon check-in for any incidental charges and your account must be settled before departure.  In the event that you do not have a credit card, you will be required to submit a cash deposit.
 

What is the language spoken in Los Cabos, Mexico?
In Cancun the official language is Spanish.  Most people involved in tourism understand and speak English.

 
What is the currency in Los Cabos, Mexico?
The official currency in Cancun is the Mexican peso, but American dollars are also widely accepted.  Banks are open Monday-Friday from 9 am to 4 pm but there are exchange houses found all over Cancun that are open much later.

 
What is the weather typically like when we travel to Cancun, Mexico?
Cancun weather boasts year round sunshine making it ideal for a vacation at any time of year. Cancun weather is tropical and humid with year round sunshine.  The temperature ranges from 20° to 30° C (68° to 86° F) from October through to March and from 22° to 33° C (75° a 91° F) from April to September.


How should I pack?
In addition to swimsuits, shorts and t-shirts you will want to pack appropriate clothing to dine in the resort's restaurants. The restaurant dress codes are:
  • Resort Casual: T-shirts or polo shirts, shorts or jeans, sundresses, skirts and similar apparel.  No bathing suits or cut-off shorts. Shoes required.
  • Resort Formal: Dress T-shirts or polo shirts, dress shorts, trousers or jeans, sundresses, skirts or similar apparel.  No bathing suits or cut-off shorts, logo or silk-screened T-shirts. Shoes are required.
Remember to pack something nice for the wedding!

What is the electrical voltage at the resort in Cancun, Mexico?
The standard Cancun electricity supply is 110 volts, the same as in Canada and the United States.  Hotels usually offer voltage converters for 220 volt devices.  Many sockets do not accept polarized or three-prong plugs so it is recommended that you bring your own adapter.

What are the cancellation penalties:  
Initial deposit of $200.00 USD per person is non-refundable
April 8 - June 6, 2016 - $300.00 USD per person penalty
June 7 - August 1, 2016 - $400.00 USD per person penalty
Cancellation August 2, 2016 to day of travel 100% per person penalty
 
We strongly suggest travel insurance which covers trip cancellation due to medical, job loss or job says you can’t go.  It also covers $25,000 per person medical and $500,000 per person emergency life flight. 
Travel insurance cost is based on age and cost of trip.  Request quote at time of booking.
